2. The product
The subscription gives your family access to a private digital universe where you can create personalised picture books featuring grandparents’ voices and children as the main characters. We use AI to generate images and text — you review and approve the content before it is published in the universe.
3. Price, credits and payment
The subscription costs €13 / £11 / $15 per month including 25% VAT and includes 55 credits, which are used to generate new stories, images and narration. Credits do not expire — unused credits are added to your balance month after month, as long as the subscription is active. Credits cannot be refunded or redeemed for cash.
If you run out, you can purchase extra credits in packs of 25 credits for €6 / £5 / $7 including VAT. Purchased credits do not expire either and are used before the included credits the next time you generate content.
The Advent calendar is a subscription add-on and costs €47 / £39 / $49 including VAT per year, including 175 credits. Access is valid for one year and must be purchased again each year — even if you reuse a previous calendar. The Advent calendar can only be opened, viewed and edited during the period specified for the calendar. Stories and calendars can only be viewed in our universe and cannot be downloaded.
Credits are deducted each time content is generated according to this price list:
- 0.5 credits per illustration (scene or cover image)
- 0.05 credits per scene for the story text
- 0.15 credits per scene for narration
- 0.4 credits per sound effect (only created when you request it)
- 1 credit per song with a preset singing voice and 2 credits per song with your family’s own voice. A new version of the same song costs the same amount again. The lyrics must be your own, or from one of the classic children’s songs on our list that are out of copyright. More recent, copyrighted lyrics must not be used.
Indicative usage: a story with 20 scenes typically costs around 15 credits including narration. This means the 55 included credits cover around 3 stories per month. Please note that narration uses credits every time it is generated — including when you have it generated again after editing the text or changing the voice.
In addition to generation, we deduct a monthly base charge of 5 credits to keep the universe available for playback, image/audio storage and hosting. The base charge is deducted on the 1st of each month and is always covered first by that month’s included credits. The month in which you create the universe is free — the first deduction is made on the 1st of the following month.
Payment is charged monthly in advance by payment card. Prices may change with at least 30 days’ notice by email.
4. Playback without credits
You can always play your already published stories — as long as the subscription is active. Watching and listening to a finished story never uses credits, either for you or for the children and guests you share a story with.
Credits are used in two ways: when something new is created (text, illustrations, narration, sound effects), and as the monthly base charge of 5 credits that keeps the universe available. The base charge is deducted on the 1st of each month — including months in which you do not create a new story.
If you run out of credits in the middle of a story, we only stop what has not yet been created. Everything that is finished remains available and can be viewed as usual.
5. Cancellation and withdrawal
The subscription can be cancelled with 14 days’ notice effective at the end of a payment period by writing to contact@eventyrmagic.com. As the service is a digital service to which you receive immediate access, by placing your order you agree that the 14-day right of withdrawal for digital services (Danish Consumer Contracts Act, section 18(2), no. 13) lapses once delivery begins.
6. Inactivity and deletion
If the monthly base charge cannot be deducted (for example, because the subscription has been cancelled or payment fails), your universe is set to inactive. We send an email to the family administrator immediately, followed by repeated reminders after 30, 60 and 83 days.
If the universe is still inactive after 3 months (90 days), we reserve the right to permanently delete the universe, including all stories, images, audio, characters and profiles. A final confirmation email is sent upon deletion. You can reactivate the universe before day 90 by paying or purchasing credits — deletion is then automatically cancelled.
7. Use of the service
- The universe may only be used privately within the family it was created for.
- You must not upload content you do not have the right to use (such as other people’s photos).
- You must not use the service for unlawful, offensive or child-inappropriate purposes.
- We may shut down access in cases of misuse without notice and without a refund for the current period.
8. Copyright in the content you add
It is your responsibility as a user to ensure that the material you add to the universe — photos, illustrations, text, music, names and recordings — does not infringe anyone else’s copyright, trademarks or other rights.
This also applies when you photograph objects and use them in a story. Many types of toys, figures, books, games, cartoon characters, logos and artworks are protected by copyright or trademark law. If you take pictures of such material and use it as the basis for characters or scenes, you must ensure that your use is lawful — for example, because it is private use within your own family, or because you have permission from the rights holder.
- Do not use names, logos or well-known characters from films, books, TV and games in a way that makes the story appear to be official content from the rights holder.
- Do not share stories, images or audio from the universe publicly (for example, on social media or in sales) if the content is based on material you do not hold the rights to.
- If we receive a substantiated complaint from a rights holder, we may remove the relevant content and — in repeated or serious cases — close the universe without a refund.
- You indemnify Aspida ApS against third-party claims arising from content you have added to the universe yourself.
9. Prohibited content — nudity, violence and other harmful material
EventyrMagic is designed for young children, and the content must be suitable for a bedtime story. It is not permitted to attempt to create, upload or share:
- nudity, sexual or erotic content — and under no circumstances content that sexualises children,
- violence, blood, weapons, torture, self-harm or other graphic or frightening depictions,
- hateful, discriminatory, bullying or degrading content about individuals or groups,
- content about abuse, crime or dangerous behaviour that children could imitate,
- images or voices of people who have not given consent, including attempts to impersonate (deepfake) others.
We do what we reasonably can to prevent this: our image and text generation operates within child-friendly guidelines and filters, requests involving inappropriate content are rejected, and swimwear/bathing scenes are kept within what is normal in a children’s book. However, we cannot guarantee that automated filters catch everything. That is why you always review and approve images and text yourself before a story is published in the child’s universe.
If you encounter content that does not belong in a children’s story, delete it and write to contact@eventyrmagic.com so we can adjust the guidelines. Attempts to deliberately bypass the filters are considered misuse and may result in immediate closure of the universe without a refund and, in the case of unlawful content, a report to the authorities.
10. Consent when uploading images, names and voices
The universe is about your children — and therefore contains personal data about children. When you create a universe, upload images, enter names or record voices, you confirm to Aspida ApS:
- that you have parental responsibility for the child, or are otherwise entitled to create the child’s universe (for example, by agreement with those who hold parental responsibility),
- that you have the right to use the child’s name and any images in the universe,
- that you have obtained consent from other adults who appear in the stories by name, image or voice (for example, grandparents or other family members),
- that you understand that uploaded images and voices are only used to create the specific universe — we do not use them for advertising, resale or to train general-purpose AI models,
- that you can at any time have a child’s profile, images, voice recordings and stories deleted by writing to contact@eventyrmagic.com — or by deleting them directly in the universe.
Consent must be freely given, specific, informed and unambiguous, and it can always be withdrawn. For children under 13, the person holding parental responsibility gives consent on the child’s behalf. Read more at Datatilsynet: datatilsynet.dk/borger/samtykke.
Aspida ApS is the data controller for the personal data you add to the universe, but you as a family are responsible for ensuring that you have the right to use the images, names and voices you upload. If you upload content without the necessary consent, we may remove it and — in serious cases — close the universe without a refund.
11. Rights to content
You retain the rights to the photos, text and audio recordings you upload yourself. By uploading, you grant us the right to process the content so we can provide the service (for example, to generate images and narration). We do not use your content to train general-purpose AI models.
12. Availability
We aim for 99% uptime per month, but cannot guarantee uninterrupted operation. Advance notice of maintenance is given whenever possible.
13. Limitation of liability
Aspida ApS is not liable for indirect losses, including loss of data, loss of profit or business interruption losses. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you have paid for the subscription over the past 12 months.
14. Complaints
Complaints should first be sent to contact@eventyrmagic.com. If you are not satisfied with the response, you may complain to Forbrugerklagenævnet (Nævnenes Hus, Toldboden 2, 8800 Viborg, kfst.dk) or through EU-Kommissionens online dispute resolution portal.
15. Changes
We may change these terms with 30 days’ notice by email. Material changes give you the right to cancel the subscription without notice.
16. Governing law and jurisdiction
The agreement is governed by Danish law. Disputes are settled by the court with jurisdiction over Aspida ApS’ registered office.
